For those who like the WHOLE story! These are all of the reviews we've found for the book so far!
LAURIE THAYER, Rambles.net. Hidden among us, with their own laws and leadership, are the Sazi, shapeshifters who take animal forms during the nights surrounding the full moon. Frenchman Antoine Monier, an entertainer whose act includes big cats, is the leader of the Sazi werecats. While in Germany for a performance, one of Antoine's tigers is stolen and slaughtered. At the crime scene, Antoine's superior sense of smell determines that not only is one of the many dead cats his own, but that the police have another cat in custody -- a female shifter, one of his own people.
At the station, Antoine is able to free the shifter, Tahira Kuric, an American woman of Turkish descent. Tahira is not Sazi, but of the Hayalet Kabile, who hold the Sazi to be their enemies. She and her brother were kidnapped by unknown assailants, who nevertheless knew they were shifters. Tahira must decide whether or not to trust Antoine -- to whom she is immediately attracted -- to help her find her brother.
And in the background, a greater power lurks, one which wants Tahira for her magical ability, one which will not let Antoine stop him from having her.
Captive Moon is many things rolled into one: adventure, urban fantasy, romance. It is published as a Tor Romance, so the reader knows right away that there's going to be a certain amount of longing glances, heavy breathing and a need for cold showers. But there's also the adventure story (Who kidnapped Tahira and her brother and why? Who is still trying to get to Tahira?) and the urban fantasy aspect of the Sazi's world, hidden right in plain sight within our own.
While this could be an uneasy mixture, Adams and Clamp have blended it all deftly. I do have minor quibbles: some of the French grammar was consistently incorrect (at least it was consistent) and a minor throwaway line contained a major historical inaccuracy. With a story of this type, even the tiniest details should be right if they're not to break the illusion that the authors are casting.
TRACY ZAPALLA, Paranormal Romance Writers (a Romance Designs site). Reviewer Comments: USA Today Bestselling authors C. T. Adams and Cathy Clamp have brought readers the third installment in their paranormal romance series, tale of the Sazi, with Captive Moon. Readers will be glad to know that Adams and Clamp have moved their focus to a new group of werecats and a great new heroic couple--Antoine Monier and Tahira Kuric. For fans of the series we met Antoine Monier in Moon’s Web, but, those new to the series will not have to worry about being left behind Adams and Clamp introduce us to their world as if this is the first time for everyone.
Famous throughout the world for his cat show, Antoine Monier, leader of the werecats, has been in Germany when one of his cats goes missing. The police take him to a huge Cats smuggling ring and, while there, Antoine senses a female shifter that has been taken away alive. Antoine must do all he can to save this cat before she shifts into her human form. Using magic Antoine makes the police believe that this is his missing cat and they must take them to her. Antoine gets the cat and, while taking her back to where the circus is staying, gets into an accident only to wake in the home of his friend and fellow shifter Charles. Antoine is strangely attracted to the female shifter and as a plot is uncovered to take her from him he will do anything to save this woman.
Tahira Kuric is searching for her kidnapped brother when a group of men trick her and she is captured in her tiger form. She owes Antoine a lot for saving her from the men that kidnapped her, but she must find them again as they hold the key to her brother’s kidnapping. Tahira is not a Sazi, she is from a small clan of Hayalet Kabile, and they are enemies of the Sazi but Antoine agrees to help her, hoping to make peace with these werecats. At first, she is wary of the group of Sazi that claim they will help her find her brother. Then after an attack where Antoine saves her life she begins to trust. Now she is falling for the leader of the Sazi werecats, and is finding a new power within herself that could destroy everyone. Antoine must teach her how to control her power and find her brother before an evil force takes over.
Captive Moon is a great departure from the series that really failed in its second installment Moon’s Web and readers will be pleasantly surprised with this new installment to the series. Clamp and Adams have moved away from their focus on Tony and Sue and opened their center of attention on the great cast of characters that they have created in their world of the Sazi. Clamp and Adams always give readers a strong story that moves quickly, with fast action and even faster plot development that holds readers interests to the very end.
The pairing of Antoine and Tahira takes center stage in this novel. Tahira is written as a mere child in the world of the Sazi, but readers will be impressed with her strength and power. In her early twenties, she has just come into her powers, Antoine, on the other hand, is a leader in his own right and very powerful. This combination runs hot for readers, creating a strong partnership that is fiery and passionate. Clamp and Adams do not disappoint, giving readers powerful emotion and strong heroes that hold the story together. Captive Moon is truly fantastic paranormal romance with strong characters and enticing story that should not be missed.

TOP
PICK! As leader of the Sazi werecats, Antoine Monier takes his duties seriously.
While hunting for one of his stolen non-were tigers, he stumbles across a
captive young woman named Tahira who can't hold her tiger shape much longer.
Antoine convinces the police to release Tahira to him, and he's startled to
discover that she's not Sazi, but of the Hayalet Kabile, or ghost tribe.
California-born Tahira has been in Turkey with her brother Rabi, visiting their grandparents, when Rabi disappeared. While searching for him, Tahira was captures. Rescued by Antoine, Tahira is now desperate to find her still-missing brother. Despite the longstanding enmity between their people, Tahira accepts Antoine's assistance. They discover that the kidnapping is only the tip of the iceberg in a much larger plan as a legendary evil gathers its horrifying strength.
Firmly grounding these extraordinary characters in the modern world helps increase the emotional stakes in the gripping “Sazi” reality. Like few others, Adams & Clamp’s writing style successfully blends romance, adventure and the magical. As Captive Moon confirms, this outstanding duo is unbeatable!
ANGEL, Romance Junkies. 4.5 Blue Ribbons! Antoine Monier is well known for his trained animal act. His female big cat goes missing and he wants to find out what happened to her. In the process he finds Tahira, a shape-shifter like him but from a very illusive tribe. He saves her and decides to try to settle the century’s feud that has lasted between his tribe and hers. What he soon finds out is that Tahira is special and has powers that some will kill to control.
Tahira Kuric is captured and put into a cage and thinks that’s where she will be for a while. Help comes in the form of Antoine who has a big cat show and convinces the police that she is one of his animals. He gets her out and wants to help her, but she knows he is a member of a clan that has been enemies with hers for it seems like ever. Can she put the past behind her and move toward the future? Has she found her perfect mate?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. It’s the type of book that draws you in and holds you captive until the bitter end. Antoine has an intense animalistic nature that will have readers panting for more. Tahira must come to terms with her gift and trust Antoine to help her control it. When this couple comes together there is a definite rumble in the jungle. Of course those who want Tahira and their reasons why accent the plot. CT Adams and Cathy Clamp make a great writing team and this book proves that their talent will certainly go along way.
HARRIET KLAUSNER, The Best Reviews. Sazi cat chieftain Antoine Monier has terrific illusionary skills and an ability to see the future. He is proud of the former, but hides the latter since he learned as a child a seer talent is taboo for a Sazi. In Germany, local police show Antoine the slaughter of several tigers apparently captured by poachers. He knows he cannot do anything for them, but hears that these illegal hunters hold a female tiger prisoner; he plans to rescue her.
American Tahira Kuric of the Hayalet Kabile Ghost Tribe came to Germany to rescue her brother, Rabi, a kidnap victim, but instead was captured by poachers. Antoine rescues Tahira, but she does not trust him as her people learn from childhood that the Sazi are cunning and deceitful. However, she has no choice but to plead with him to help her locate Rabi. However, instead of uncovering Rabi's whereabouts, the duo realizes a cross species war is imminent unless they can perform a miracle to prevent it. Even Were-snake Councilman Ahmad al-Narmer challenges Antoine for the leadership and for Tahira's affection. Neither is aware that she contains a power that if she fails to control means the death of any shifter who is in her vicinity.
The latest Sazi romantic fantasy (see MOON'S WEB) is a marvelous tale that grips fans with its fascinating star- crossed yet needing one another on several layers story line. The lead couple keeps the plot moving as they run from one fiery episode into another lethal incident; Ahmad augments the novel as he competes for Tahira and for the leadership; thus he adds to the romance and provides a delightful look at the Sazi politics and community. Filled with surprising twists, C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp insure readers are captivated by this enthralling thriller.
KELLEY HARTSELL, CK2S Kwips & Kritiques. The writing duo of C T Adams and Cathy Clamp has given us yet another fascinating story of the Sazi that readers will love.
Antoine Monier is the “Rex,” or leader, of all the cats in Sazi society. He also just happens to be one of the best known performers of big cat shows in the world. He’s always been content with his choices of careers until he arrives in Germany and trouble finds him. One of his most beloved tigers is stolen and slaughtered. When he finds out what happened, he’s in for a surprise. As it turns out, there was one tiger who escaped the brutality and she just happens to be a shape shifter as well!
Tahira Kuric is one of a very rare race, the “ghost tribe,” or Hayalet Kabile. When she is rescued by the thrillingly sensual Antoine, she wants nothing to do with him, for he is Sazi, sworn enemy to her kind. Trouble still beckons however, for Tahira’s brother is missing and she needs to find him. When Antoine comes to her aid, they discover that she is very special… a mythical “power well” who can store up the energies of others.
Antoine must find Tahira’s brother, help her learn to control her powers, and get a handle on the impossible-to-resist passion between them, for their greatest battle is yet to come. Can they overcome their differences to save both races from extinction at the hands of a deadly enemy?
Readers get to meet Antoine in previous books in the series, but that only gave a slight hint of his personality, just enough to intrigue. In this novel, we get to delve deeply in to the heart and mind of Antoine, learning just how complex a person he is. More insight is also given into his abilities and readers experience his struggles with him as he tries to control them. Old fears and bad memories rear their ugly head for Antoine and he has to conquer them in order to take his true place in Sazi society.
Tahira has always felt like an outsider in her family, never quite living up to their expectations. When she was imprisoned, she thought any chance of gaining respect was over. As she learns more about herself, and her abilities, after Antoine rescues and shelters her, she comes to realize that maybe she finally has the chance to prove herself to everyone. As her relationship with Antoine grows, readers see her confidence blossom and her powers strengthen in the light of his love for her.
Once again, readers are gifted with a unique story full of action, passion, and mystery from the minds of these two very talented authors in Captive Moon. Readers are catapulted in to one adventure after another with Antoine, Tahira, and company as they race against time, and the phases of the moon, to get to the bottom of what is really going on in Germany. The introduction of an ancient race, the Hayalet Kabile, adds another dimension to the tale, for their society is very traditional Middle Eastern, where they originated. Watching the modern Sazi deal with the more conservative ways of the Kabile will be quite interesting to readers.
