MOON'S FURY

REVIEW PAGE

For those who like the WHOLE story!  These are all of the reviews we've found for the book so far!

NEW! DON D'AMMASSA, Science Fiction Book Club. This is the fifth in the Sazi series, contemporary paranormal romances involving packs of werewolves, or more precisely shape shifters since it's not always a wolf form.  In previous volumes, we've been introduced to shapechanging hitmen and police officers and had extensive exposure to a hidden world of creatures living secretly within human society.  Some of this is the kind of pack animal politics that dominated several of Laurell Hamilton's Anita Blake novels, but with a bit less angst.  These are romance novels but without the common excesses of that form, and the plotting is solid and well managed.  This particular installment describes the clash between two packs, one displaced from Minnesota to Texas, the other a more established pack which resents the invasion of their territory.  Much of the fast-paced conflict is channeled through the two pack leaders, an experienced and determined woman on one side, a resigned but equally determined man on the other.  The newcomers have a slight tactical advantage because their leader has just been appointed the local sheriff, which gives him some degree of control over events.  Their conflict finally resolves itself when a mutual enemy appears to threaten both packs, and only by united action are they able to survive.  If you don't like this sort of thing, then this isn't for you.  The story is well told but it's obvious from the outset that the two leaders will eventually become lovers.  Only the means of their reconciliation is unknown.  But if you don't mind the familiarity, and if you do enjoy this particular brand of paranormal adventure, then you're not likely to find a better recent example.  At least one additional volume, Timeless Moon, will follow. 4/16/07

NEW! SUE BURKE, Fresh Fiction. Carlotta Salinas has been alpha female wolf of a Texas red wolf pack since her teens. From a Tejano family who homesteaded Texas while it was part of Mexico, Cara's people still live on the land her ancestor's spilled their blood to protect generations past. She is also currently the acting sheriff of Tedford County.

Former cop Adam Mueller is second in command of a Minnesota pack that's recently been noticed by humans. The council has decreed that this pack be split up, with some of the members slated to be exiled to Texas to join with Cara's red wolves.

Cara is less than thrilled about the outsiders coming to join her small pack and isn't afraid to stand up and speak her mind. But what the council decrees is law and Adam and Cara are expected to follow orders and do what they are told. Adam and Cara soon have more to worry about than their mutual resentment and the prickly start to their relationship. Their packs must be blended with little or no bloodshed. Pack politics turn an already impossible situation into a powder keg, with only Adam and Cara, hotheads themselves, trying to hold off complete disaster.

Adams and Clamp have taken the shape-shifter legends and made them their own. Theirs is a thrilling, sensual world, already a favorite for fans of paranormal romance. Every book expands this already lush world. Populated with complicated, three-dimensional characters, this series just keeps getting better.

NEW! MICHELE PATRYKUS, Book Isle and PNR Reviews. The Sazi are on the prowl again. The heat is up and the fur, scales, and feathers will fly!

As alpha of a small Mexican red-wolf pack, Cara Salinas has her hands full. Most of the pack is family and have followed her since she was thirteen. Cara is also the new county sheriff, two hot jobs with a high cost. "Price is what you pay for something. Cost is what is taken from you." I do not remember where this quote came from but it helps keep her sane.

Adam Mueller is an alpha timber wolf from Minnesota and an ex-cop. Together they must not only merge the two packs, but foil a child slave/sex ring. Have I got your attention yet?

MOON'S FURY moves very fast from the first accident to the last desperate healing. This is the second book I have read by CT and Cathy and I will be looking up other titles in this series. All I can say is "WOW!" If shape-shifter stories are your thing....TRY THESE TWO AUTHORS!

NEW! DANNY, Love Romances and More. Cara Salinas has been the Alpha of the small Mexican Red wolf pack for a long time and she knows that nothing good will come when she mixes her pack with Adam Mueller’s exiled Minnesotan pack members. But the new sheriff and she are drawn to each other as it is only possible for fated mates, so that have to find their way to a future together. Soon they both have to face the threat of vicious Sazi Raptors, who prey on the kids of both packs. Cara and Adam must find a way to work together to save the Texas pack and their lives.

This author duo did it again, they delivered an action filled novel full of suspense, that will keep it’s readers on the edge of their seats. You never know which turn the novel takes next and it comes packed full of surprises.

Both Cara and Adam are very strong characters, which isn’t a huge surprise as they are both Alphas in their own right, but there is not only the clash of wills that makes their relationship so interesting but also the way they complete each other.

MOON’S FURY is the fifth book of the Sazi series, but it can be read as a stand-alone, although you meet many characters from the previous books again and you might want to know their stories, too.

Every fan of action filled, captivating paranormal stories can’t go wrong with a book by Ms. Adams and Ms. Clamp, so get your copy today.

NEW! INEZ DAYLONG, Affaire de Couer.  Small town Sheriff Cara Salinas has not only been running law enforcement in Tedford County, Texas, she also is alpha of the small Mexican Red-Wolf pack and has been since she was thirteen.  The news that she must integrate exiled Minnesotan wolves with her pack is not necessarily good news.  Their packs new Alpha, Adam Mueller is difficult and does not want to be alpha.  The process being difficult and compounded by a rogue group of raptors capturing children make this transition nearly impossible, but add to the mix that Cara and Adam are fated mates and fight it every minute of every day and the story is one you just can't put down.

Adams and Clamp have a way of taking what you think are the now familiar worlds of shapeshifters in this case and change it to something else and take it to a new level.  Their storyline in this installment of the Sazi series was spot on and enthralling, I just couldn't put it down.  If you don't read any other paranormal authors read this pair, every story is fresh and completely engrossing.

NEW! AMANDA HAFFERY, Romance Junkies.  Snippet: Welcome to the world of Sazi a paranormal world full of wolves, raptors and other things that go bump in the night. It’s Cara and Adam’s job to protect their packs and the humans in their world. Will Cara and Adam come through or will the Sazi world be destroyed forever?

Cara is the leader of the red wolves in a small town in Texas where she also hold the position of sheriff. Presently, her job is all the harder since she’s just filling in and she’s not totally sure everyone wants her in charge. Things get a little worse when she comes across a deer accident with a car. When she goes to investigate she finds a small child in the cactus bushes and the child’s mother is trapped under the car. Using her wolf powers, even though they’re prohibited to use in front of humans, Cara rescues the poor woman. When her pack finds out though, she may be in for a lot of trouble, possibly even death.

Adam is a former cop from Minneapolis and a wolf. He was almost caught by the humans using his powers and his punishment is being forced to move to Texas and integrate his wolves with Cara’s. From the moment Adam lays eyes on Cara he wants her. However, he is fighting to keep the attraction from going any further. Will the combining of the two packs end up being an excellent decision or will it tear all of their wolves apart-including Adam and Cara?

Things go from bad to worse when some other shifters decide to terrorize and kill some of their own. Will Adam and Cara come to terms with what’s right in front of them and combine their strengths to save their world from notice by the humans in time to save their own packs?

MOON’S FURY is an engaging world of drama, intrigue and passion. Cara is feisty, humble, sweet, caring and generous. Don’t mistake that for weak though. Cara is totally dominant. Adam is a little rough around the edges, sexy and a perfect match for Cara in dominance. C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp bring these two dominants together for a clashingly good time. I loved how these two characters interacted. One moment they almost hated each other and in the next, passion’s ignited. When something starts picking off their packs babies, nothing will stand in the way of these two finding retribution. No one messes with their people or with each other for that matter. This is the first C.T. Adam’s and Cathy Clamp story I’ve ever had the pleasure to read and I am stunned! I loved everything about it from the wittiness of the characters, to the non-stop plot, to the romance between them. I will definitely be reading the other stories in this series very soon. Although this is the fifth book in the Sazi series, I feel it can stand alone. I had no problem keeping up with what was happening. High praise to both C.T. Adam’s and Cathy Clamp for making this story so real for me!

NEW! CHERE GRUVER, ParaNormal Romance Reviews.  This trip into the Sazi world takes us to two totally different packs. One in Texas, the other in Minnesota. Cara Salinas is the Alpha of her pack in Tedford County, Texas. She’s also acting sheriff since the elected one had a stroke. Something else a bit different about Cara’s pack is the fact they’re Mexican red wolves, a species on the endangered list and a bit smaller than the other Sazi wolves. One night while Cara is driving along, she notices something and investigates. Turns out there was an accident and Cara finds a child. While trying to find the girl’s mother, Cara is also attempting to keep the girl calm. Finally finding the car, Cara can tell the mother will die unless she can do some major healing on the woman. Even though she knows she shouldn’t, Cara heals the woman. Of course, Will, a Wolven Agent and Texas Ranger and longtime friend, shows up and reams Cara out for what she did. But that’s not the only problem Cara has to deal with since Will wants a meeting with her the next day. When Cara shows up at the meeting, turns out Will doesn’t come alone. He has two other Sazi with him. One is Lucas Santiago, the head of Wolven, and Adam Mueller, a former Wolven Agent, now cop and second in the Minnesota pack. There was a bit of a problem with the Minnesota pack and the Council has decided they need to split. Since Cara’s pack is small, the Council has ordered some of the Minnesota pack will be integrated into hers.

When Adam comes to Texas on the orders of his Alpha, Lucas finds him. They soon discover the resident Alpha was told nothing of the integration and she is understandably upset. Now the two of them must come up with a way to add families to the small community Cara lives in. And that’s not the only problem either, there’s rogue Sazi raptors in the area killing people and taking livestock. Of course, the fact Adam is very attracted to Cara only helps him make the decision to relocate to Texas.

Will the Minnesota people be able to integrate into Cara’s pack? What kind of fall out will this create? What is going on with the rogue raptors? Will Cara and Adam be able to stop them? And what of the attraction between Cara and Adam?

MOON’S FURY once again proves the talent of writing duo, C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp. In this story, we get to see just a bit more into the life of a Wolven Agent and also learn about the different types of packs. While Cara’s pack is not bound as most other packs there, most of them are family and that is what holds them together. And in Adam’s pack, there is the constant fighting for position normal within the Sazi society. Of course, we also have a love meant to be in this story, as in all the Sazi stories. But MOON’S FURY ends just a little bit different. We are left with knowing something is going on and it’s only hinted at in the ending. Whereas this mostly irritates me, with this series, it just gives me an excuse to continue reading them! The Sazi stories are all fantastic and I cannot recommend them highly enough!
